let me just say, i did appreciate the loungewear brought on by 2020's events; and the serious upgrade by brands to bring us some great WFH apparel options that we've now deemed publicly acceptable.
not that i wasn't living in cozies previously. my wardrobe was pretty much the only thing already prepared for what our world became last spring (i'm an immediate bra off, pants off, slippers on kind of girl).
when i'm home alone, the comfort level gets taken to a place that no one else sees, or will ever see. we're talking very old, ripped, falling apart, probably stained huge tee shirts and free city sweatpants from high school. however, considering most of us, myself included, do not live alone, & want to feel at least somewhat presentable and human, i'm going to share my top picks for matching loungewear. these are brands that i discovered in 2020, and some i've had prior to quarantine and still love.
Zara (budget friendly option)
Pretty Little Thing (budget friendly option)
Brandy Melville (budget friendly option)
there are so many ways to style a lounge ware set! and so many options for styles + colors to fit your aesthetic and design preference.
my favorite way to wear sweats + a hoodie is with high end sneakers like Golden Goose + a structured wool jacket with a crossover belt bag. but these comfies can also be paired with Prada Lugg boots or a variation of a chunky black boot + a short puffer or even without a jacket - just add a hat and some fierce sunglasses.
im all in for this 'trend'. i'm down to keep it around for a while longer.
