i absolutely love etsy. the site literally has everything you're looking for and then some. i tend to scour the home decor sellers when i want to switch up a space in my home, which ironically enough is almost always around the seasons changing. as the leaves turn, so does my interior, textures and color palette (well kind of).
below are a few items i'm coveting for autumn. the site really does have it all, and i love that it supports small business and often times, local artists.
concrete vases ceramic vases don't do it for me in the fall and winter months. i want something a little more rough, sturdier even.
rusy metal barrels my favorite flower is technically baby's breath. they are simple, elegant flowers and the contrast of their beauty with the rustic antique barrel is stunning. but any type of more feminine floral bouquet will stand out against these.
we entertain a lot, so having an attractive display is important for us when sharing our space, food, and home. i try to have different pieces that work well together, lots of textures and contrasting colors that still remain in the neutral family palette. this is such a great way to add another layer to the table and serves as a hot plate if needed!
there is always a centerpiece on my table when no one is using it. and i'm thinking of switching my current piece out for this bowl... our table is never empty and i won't do flowers; i prefer a textured bowl, piece of wood or dough bowl, something a little less conventional and that required a bit more thought. it should be something you really love and connect with.
this man's etsy store is swoon worthy. there are different colors if you prefer, as well as more shabby chic items, rustic and farmhouse. the prices are pretty good too.
my love for turkish runner rugs is a forever kind of love. i just think they are stunning and one of the few times i will openly welcome color into my home. these rugs are very old, faded, and perfectly imperfect.
i still prefer linen bedding in winter. i mix it up with a chunky throw or faux fur. recently i scored two throw pillows for our bed that had a faux leather detailing and paired well against the stripes of the pillow but also brought out the texture of the linen on my bed.
again, personally i just can't get on board with orange and red and yellow leaves with fake pumpkins dangling off a ring on my door... it will never happen. simplicity is where my heart lies when it comes to home decor and these eucalyptus wreaths are precisely my aesthetic, plus they smell amazing.
in terms of wall decor, i find that it has to speak to you. sometimes i love a floral piece, most of the time i don't and yet here i am staring at the antique framed one in my entry. let the things that decorate your walls find you. you'll know when you see it.
