there are about ten coffee table books strategically placed in our apartment designed to look like they are not strategically placed and about eight of them are interior design focused.
Robb and i love watching hgtv and checking out architectural digest homes on youtube. we lust over photographs of morrrocan tiles and parisian architecture and usually find ways to incorporate what we love into our home. as we continue to travel, the cultures of the countries we visit always spark inspiration and influence the spaces in our apartment. after almost every trip something changes when we get back, whether it be a pillow cover, rug, or accent piece. we love to find one of a kind items that carry with them a story, not only to accentuate an area and create a focal point, but also as a conversation starter for when we have friends and family over.
it's taken two years to create the spaces and rooms in our home and still, these areas and rooms are constantly changing with our inspirations and exposure to different cultures. there are a few items however, that Robb and I agree are must-haves: our absolute favorite design elements, furniture, home items that we love, that never change, and that we could not live without.

these items have remained staples in our home. they parallel our neutral , minimalist aesthetic, each serving a purpose and still elevating our interior design. some items in our home are forever changing; like our rugs from jute to shags, faux sheepskin to turkish handwoven. our shelving, tables, nick knacks are constantly swapped out for a different look; but these pieces, they are here to stay. we love them, reach for them often, and each truly makes our house into a home.
what are some of your home items that you can't live without?
